ALS walk for mom

August 12th my family and friends joined as a team to walk to find a cure for ALS which my mom died from
Here are my 2 friends that helped us and walked, Sandi and Jean
Here is our entire team for this year, each year it grows, of course Michael and Katelin were missing cause they were off on other vacations, and you think I vacationed too much this year?
Here are the shirts we wore this year, we are talking about new shirts for next year, I wonder what they will look like as we all had different ideas for the designs...
everyone was getting pumped for the walk, or just standing around waiting????  you decide
My Dad even showed up, his first year walking with us and our family friend Bobby showed up to show her support so of course we needed a family photo
Here is Dad with us kids, my brother Joe is left then me, then my sister Theresa and then dad Joe
and yes, we did walk, we tried to figure out who could walk backwards and take the photo and my brother clumsly got a few shots...
loved this photo of my brother and his daughter Anna, of course we were goofing around the whole time so this was when she finally got her cell phone back from him
Also love this photo of my sister's daughter Crissi, she is just so beautiful!!!  She did burn her finger, but not on the iced coffee she is holding...
After the walk we all as a team enjoyed a picnic lunch together at the park (Otsinango) and then went our merry way!  So I hope this encourages you to join us for next year, the walk is always in August

Tenn trip

All I did was get Michael tickets for the night Bristol race in Tenn, and our trip went from there...

On our way to Tenn we pass right past my cousins house and since they just had a baby we needed to stop in and meet him and get my baby fix!
Of course when we turned onto their road we were scared about the children of the corn....  with good reason, they even have signs for this in PA
Then a trip to Tenn wouldn't be complete without seeing more family, so we drove to Memphis to meet Michael's sister Shannon and spent a dayw ith her.  Yes, only a day, well about 24 hours anyway, we didn't plan that well did we?   But we had fun with them while we were there

we ate at the Neely's restuarant, you know the Neely's from food network???  They have super yummy food!
Here is Michael's sister and boyfriend, Shannon and Andy, this is before we said good bye...

we visited the outside of Graceland, just to say we were there since we were so close! We had breakfast sitting at the Mississippi River, that was nice and quiet and relaxing

More of our Tenn trip

We got back from Michael's sisters place back to Bristol Friday night and Sat we went to the Bristol race.  That was so much fun just watching the race festivities live and was so excited the paratrooper landed right in front of us!  Michael liked that our seats were only 12 rows from the track so the action was right there!
After the race we drove a few hours to get closer to home and actually get to a hotel that had vacancies...  so since we stopped in Salem we got to have breakfast in the am with a dear friend of mine that I had known since he was born, and yes, I used to abuse him, I mean babysit him.  It was nice to meet his kids and have a nice conversation with him and his wife, I could have sat for hours with them but we had to drive back home that day.
So that was our trip, we saw a lot of family and friends and only had the race planned, so glad we had the chance to see so many!!!  Definitely one of the better trips from the past couple years

Summer fun

Hi All, I know it has been a long time since I updated my blog, sorry for that, but I updated the catalogs too, so take a peek...

We have been busy this year with vacations, this is our last trip, Katelin and I went to Ocean City for the long Labor day weekend.  We had so much fun and saw dolphins swimming in the ocean, as well as other fish and minnows closer to shore.  On Sunday it started raining so we went back to our Hotel room and while sitting on the balcony I saw the life guards flagging everyone to come to shore, and then we saw fins swimming very close to shore.  Everyone says they were sharks.  I am glad we didn't plan to swim after that!  We did have a good trip and had a lot of fun just hanging at the beach for a few days, nice and relaxing for momma!
